1．upset adj. 心烦意乱的；不安的，不适的
vt. （upset，upset）使心烦；使不安
be upset about sth./that…
e.g.There is no point getting upset about it.
She was upset that he had left without saying goodbye.
e.g.This decision is likely to upset a lot of people.
2．calm v.（使）平静/镇定 adj.平静的，沉着的
It’s important to keep calm in an emergency.
He took a few deep breaths to calm himself down.（平静/镇定下来）
Calm down and tell me what happened.
3．concern vt.（使）担忧；涉及，关系到
n. 关心，担忧
be concerned about/for sth.担心的，忧虑的
e.g.The president is deeply concerned about this problem.（深感担忧）
e.g.What concerns me is our lack of preparation for the change.
让我担心的是我们对事态的变化缺乏准备。
（also）be concerned with 与……有关；涉及
拓展：as far as…be concerned 就……而言；依……之见
have no concern for……毫不关心

4．settle v.安家，定居；vt.使定居；安排，解决
It’s all settled—we’re leaving on the nine o’clock plane.

5．suffer v.遭受，经历
suffer from (be badly affected by…) (因……)受苦，受难，受折磨

7．disagree with sb. about/over sth.

8．grateful adj.感激的，表示谢意的

He was grateful that she didn’t tell his parents about the incident.
9．tip vt. (tipped)倾斜，翻倒
The boat tipped to one side.
She tipped her head back and laughed loudly.

tip n. 提示；技巧；尖端；小费
useful tips on how to save money (advice)
the tip of your fingers/ nose
He gave the waiter a generous tip. (小费)
Here is another tip: Don’t touch the tip with the tips of your fingers.
